Data Processing in Our Apps
Our apps are primarily offline applications. The apps themselves do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to third parties.
Local Data Storage
App data (e.g. completed puzzles, game progress, settings) is stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device and cannot be accessed by us or any third party. You can delete the stored data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app data in your device settings.
Advertising via Google AdMob
Our apps display advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When serving advertisements, AdMob may process the following data:
- Advertising ID: IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) on iOS devices, or the Android Advertising ID (AAID) on Android devices
- Device data: device type, operating system and version, language setting, time zone, network connection type
- Usage data: app interactions, session duration, crash data
- Ad interactions: ad impressions, clicks on advertisements
- Approximate location: derived from the IP address (at country or regional level)
This data may be used to serve personalised or non-personalised advertising. Whether personalised ads are shown depends on your consent (see the "Consent and Tracking" section below).
Google may combine the data collected via AdMob with other Google services. For more information, please refer to Google's privacy documentation:
Consent and Tracking
iOS – App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS devices (iOS 14.5 and later), our apps will ask for your permission to track your activity across apps and websites on your first launch. This is done via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt required by Apple. If you consent, AdMob may use your IDFA to serve personalised ads. If you decline, AdMob will not serve personalised ads based on your IDFA.
You can change your decision at any time in your iOS settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Android – Advertising ID
On Android devices, you can reset the Advertising ID (AAID) or fully opt out of ad personalisation in your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads. If you opt out of personalisation, AdMob will only serve non-personalised ads.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where you have consented to the processing of your data by Google AdMob (e.g. by accepting the ATT prompt on iOS), the processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Where consent has not been given or has been withdrawn, AdMob may continue to serve non-personalised ads on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). The legitimate interest consists in financing the free apps through advertising revenue.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under applicable data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the personal data stored about you. Since we do not store personal data ourselves, this primarily concerns Google AdMob.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request the correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request the deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You may request that the processing of your data be restricted.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object to the processing of your data on the basis of a legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time with future effect — on iOS via the ATT settings, on Android via the Advertising ID settings.
To exercise your rights against us, please contact us at the email address above. To exercise rights against Google, please contact Google directly via the Google Privacy Centre .
Right to Lodge a Complaint
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement — if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law or changes to our apps or third-party services. The current version is always available at this address. We recommend checking this page occasionally.
